Our Website Development Process
Eligible projects move through a structured development pipeline.
The exact technical workflow may vary depending on your website, hosting environment, page count, and approved requirements.
Purchase Verification
Before development begins, we verify that your hosting purchase meets the requirements of the Free Website Development Offer.
We may review:
- Hosting provider
- Eligible hosting plan
- Billing duration
- Purchase date
- Order or transaction reference
- Submitted purchase confirmation
- Referral eligibility where applicable
Once your purchase has been successfully verified, we confirm the development tier you qualify for:
Submitting purchase information does not automatically approve a project. Eligibility must first be confirmed.
Project Onboarding & Requirements
After eligibility is confirmed, we collect the information needed to understand your website.
Depending on the project, we may ask for:
- Business or project name
- Website purpose
- Required pages
- Services or products
- Final text/content
- Logo
- Images
- Brand colors
- Contact information
- Social media links
- Preferred design direction
- Example websites or references
- Required standard functionality
For larger projects, we may also confirm the proposed sitemap and page structure before substantial development begins.
You are responsible for providing the content and assets required for your website. Incomplete information or delayed content may affect the development schedule.
Scope & Project Planning
Before substantial development work begins, we review your requirements against the scope of your eligible development tier.
We confirm the key project parameters, which may include:
This stage helps prevent misunderstandings and ensures that requested functionality fits within the Free Website Development Offer.
If a requested feature falls outside the standard scope, we will clarify this before including it in the project. You are not required to purchase additional development services from HostCouponCodes.
Website Setup & Development
Once the project is ready for development, we prepare the website environment and begin building the approved pages and functionality.
Depending on the project, this may include:
- WordPress installation and configuration
- Website structure
- Page layouts
- Header and navigation
- Footer
- Responsive styling
- Client-provided content placement
- Contact forms
- Basic SEO setup
- Basic caching configuration
- SSL/HTTPS configuration
- Standard business integrations
- Other features included within the approved scope
Where appropriate, development may take place using a staging environment or another suitable development workflow.
A dedicated staging subdomain is not required for every project and depends on the hosting environment and technical requirements.
Review & Refinement
When an appropriate development version is ready, we review the website and may provide an opportunity for feedback before final handoff.
Reasonable refinements within the originally approved scope may include:
- Minor layout adjustments
- Typography corrections
- Spacing adjustments
- Replacement of provided images
- Corrections to supplied text
- Contact information updates
- Responsive layout adjustments
- Minor styling refinements
Review does not create an unlimited revision entitlement.
Requests for additional pages, major redesigns, new functionality, complex integrations, or substantial changes to the approved structure may fall outside the Free Website Development Offer.
Responsive & Functionality Checks
Before final delivery, we perform basic checks appropriate to the project.
These may include:
- Desktop layout
- Tablet layout
- Mobile layout
- Navigation
- Internal links
- Contact forms
- Important buttons
- HTTPS configuration
- Basic website functionality
Third-party services and functionality outside our control remain subject to their respective providers.
Launch & Final Handoff
Once the approved development work and applicable checks are complete, the website is prepared for final delivery or launch.
Depending on the project and hosting setup, final delivery may include:
- Connecting the website to the primary domain
- Confirming basic DNS configuration
- Confirming SSL/HTTPS
- Final website access
- WordPress administrator access where applicable
- Basic handoff information
- Confirmation of completed project scope
Where possible, the client should retain ownership and control of the hosting account, domain, and related business services throughout the project. We do not require ownership of your hosting account after handoff.
Once the eligible project has been completed and formally delivered, you receive access to the website and project files included within the approved scope. Third-party software and assets remain subject to their respective licenses.
Development Timeline
There is no single guaranteed turnaround time for every website.
The development schedule depends on factors including:
- Eligible development tier
- Number of pages
- Project complexity
- Content availability
- Client response time
- Required revisions
- Approved functionality
- Hosting environment
- Applicable hosting refund period
Your expected project schedule will be communicated after eligibility, requirements, and scope have been reviewed.
1-Page Website Timeline
Eligible 1-page projects may be developed and delivered during the hosting provider's applicable initial refund period.
Because these projects have a smaller scope, they may move through the development pipeline earlier than larger websites. The exact turnaround depends on the individual project.
5-Page & 10-Page Website Timeline
Larger websites require significantly more planning, design, content placement, responsive development, configuration, and testing.
During the hosting provider's applicable initial refund period, we may begin work such as:
- Purchase verification
- Onboarding
- Requirements gathering
- Sitemap planning
- Content organization
- Scope confirmation
- Design direction
- Technical preparation
However, final development and/or final delivery of eligible 5-page and 10-page projects may be scheduled after the applicable initial hosting refund period has passed.
This helps keep the Free Website Development Offer sustainable while preserving the customer's ability to use the hosting provider's normal cancellation and refund process.
What Can Delay Your Project?
Your development schedule may be affected if:
- Required content is missing
- Images or logos are not provided
- Project requirements remain unclear
- Responses or approvals are delayed
- The requested scope changes during development
- New pages or functionality are requested
- Third-party services cause technical delays
- Hosting or domain access is unavailable
- Technical issues outside our control affect deployment
We recommend preparing your website content and business information as early as possible.
If Hosting Is Cancelled During Development
Your hosting cancellation and refund rights remain subject to the hosting provider's current terms.
If the qualifying hosting purchase is cancelled or refunded before development is completed, eligibility for the remaining free development work may end.
If an eligible website has already been completed and formally delivered, HostCouponCodes will not automatically delete, deactivate, or remove the delivered website solely because you exercised an eligible hosting refund.
See our Cancellation & Refund Policy for complete details.
From Hosting Purchase to Website Launch
Our process keeps each stage clear:
Your hosting remains with the hosting provider, while HostCouponCodes provides the eligible development work within your approved Free Website Development Offer.
